Echo came to TOG for a minor refit to repair splits and cracks in the laminate and to improve the appearance of the boat proportion wise. Terry Gosden Boat Builders attended to the repairs while TOG coordinated the alterations and repainted the entire exterior.

The Hull Topsides and Superstructure top coats were delaminating from the undercoat which required the complete removal of all gloss and non-skid surfaces before starting with the new coatings system from International Paints.

To improve the 'stumpy' look the boat had, TOG recommended that the brow be fattened to the same dimensions as the side lip. In addition a 2 tone colour change was made to give the appearance that the Superstructure looked longer rather than higher along with the removal of the stripe on the fly bridge and boot top.

The teak trim on the coamings and cockpit had Cetol applied to reduce maintenance that varnished finishes require.

The graphics for the name had a total transformation - Gold leaf applied on a teak backing board and clear-coated to give a traditional finish.

Echo's Hull Topsides were painted with Interspray 900 from International Paints with Awlcraft 2000 on the Superstructure. Micron 66 antifouling was used to complete the refit.
